WHAT SUBSTANCE IS IN A FILLER? WHAT TYPES OF FILLERS ARE THERE?
We only inject safe A label products - FDA approved.
We distinguish between fillers with collagen stimulator and fillers with hyaluronic acid.
New is the Hybrid Filler in which a cocktail of collagen-stimulating filler-skin booster and filler based on hyaluronic acid is injected, so with double action.
1. FILLER WITH COLLAGEN STIMULATOR
From the age of 25, collagen production decreases, so over time more collagen is broken down than is produced by the body.
- With this type of fillers (type radiesse) you can achieve a double effect:
1. This filler provides additional volume so that the facial contours (jawline, cheekbones,...) can be accentuated.
2. This filler stimulates the body's own natural collagen and elastin production of the skin, softening the wrinkles.
- How long will the result last? The effect lasts up to about 9-12 months because the own production of collagen and elastin remains stimulated.
- Is it safe? These fillers are biocompatible and biodegradable: they are naturally broken down by the body.

2. FILLER WITH HYALURONIC ACID
- Hyaluronic acid is a biodegradable product, known under various brand names.
- It is used to treat wrinkle and groove formation due to aging or to fill lips.
- Is it safe? Hyaluronic acid is 100% safe because it is completely biodegradable and anti-allergic.
- How long will the result last? Hyaluronic acid usually remains present for several (4 to 12) months, depending on which product. After this, the treatment can be repeated.
3. HYBRID FILLER - NEW!
for superficial, fine wrinkles. Also for the neck.
WHAT IS A HYBRID FILLER?
A Hybrid Filler is a combination of hyaluronic acid and a collagen-stimulating filler based on calcium hydroxyapatite in 1 syringe. Plastic surgeon Dr. Nelissen uses Belotero (Revive) and Radiesse for this.
Plastic surgeon Dr. Nelissen will make for you a personalized cocktail of 2 different types of fillers, each with a different effect. By injecting an anesthetic, this injection is also very easy to handle.
The difference between a hyaluronic acid filler (such as Belotero) and a collagen-stimulating injectable (such as Radiesse) is that:
- hyaluronic acid acts as a "filler" to add extra volume to the face where desired. Hyaluronic acid attracts moisture, which also makes the skin appear a little plumper.
- In a collagen-stimulating injection, the active ingredient is injected deep into the skin via a liquid or gel, thus stimulating the patient's own collagen and elastin production.
- However, the skin-improving effect of the collagen booster is not immediately visible. Production starts only after about 4-6 weeks and lasts up to six months. The skin-improving effect can last up to 2 years. However, we find that most patients return to the Global Care Clinic within a year for touch-up by Dr. Nelissen.
- Where hyaluronic acid wears off completely over time, collagen stimulation produces a lasting result.
WHAT IS THE ADVANTAGE OF A HYBRID FILLER?
- Both active ingredients in the hybrid filler are completely biodegradable fillers and have been on the market for a long time. In this hybrid type of injection, Dr. Nelissen works on direct filling on the one hand, and collagen stimulation, skin thickening, and skin enhancement on the other.
- By combining the 2 techniques, you will get synergies and the final result will be more beautiful and certainly more natural than if you only apply hyaluronic acid fillers or only collagen stimulation. For best results, the skin feels full, supple and firm, and is also well moisturized and tightened.
- By using hybrid fillers, you get double effect with 1 injectable.
HOW MUCH DOES A HYBRID FILLER COST?
It depends on the amounts and the mixture that the doctor makes. So you're paying for both products. For example, 1 ml of hyaluronic acid costs €350 and 1.5 ml of collagen-stimulating injectable costs €450.
For a hybrid filler at the Global Care Clinic, you currently pay the promotional price of € 600 - €750.

WHO PERFORMS THIS TREATMENT?
- All treatments with injections are done in the Global Care Clinic by Plastic Surgeon Dr. Marc Nelissen. He has more than 20 years of experience with anti-wrinkle injections. As a member of the scientific committee of Clinical Facial Anatomy Amsterdam, he gives several training courses on wrinkle injections to doctors all over the world.
The treatment
- Depending on the area, a topical cream or local anaesthetic will be applied to help numb the area being treated.
The injection is done with a small thin needle. During treatment, you can look in the mirror and indicate whether the injected volume meets up to your expectation.
-
For some fillers, we use the Teoysal Pen, an electronically controlled injection pen, making the injection hurt even less. This allows the surgeon to focus more on the placement of the gel instead of exerting the pressure which is necessary with conventional manual syringes.
Downtime
- You can immediately resume your normal activities.
- The treated skin can be a bit red and swollen. The swelling pulls off after a few hours or days. You may continue to cool the treated area.
- The first days after the treatment you must avoid pressure on the treated area.
- Occasionally a temporary light swelling or bruising may occur. Any bruising can however be perfectly concealed with makeup and should be protected with a sunblock.

Side-effects / complicationS
- Complications are rare but can occur.
- With each injection there is a risk of infection or allergic reaction.
- Both risks are very minimal (less than 0.1%) and have no effect on the result.
Check-up
-
We recommend patients to come back 2 - 4 months after treatment to check the extent to which the gel is dissolved and new collagen is created. The dissolution of the gel and the production of the collagen must be equal after 1-3 months.
- When the dissolution of the gel is larger than the collagen production, a refinement treatment can be done. The result will be even more durable after the refinement treatment.
