WhAT IS a LIPFILLER?

A lip filler is a filling substance that is injected to fill the volume in the skin, thereby remodulating the lips.

Lip fillers give an immediate improvement, so that you see the result the moment the filler is injected.

To treat fine wrinkles of the upper lip or so-called “BARCODE” appearance, mostly a combination of treatments is necessary:

Lipfiller to give extra filling
Wrinkle relaxing injection* to relax and diminish the contraction of the muscles
Skin Rejuvenation with Phenol Medical Peeling (1x) or Medical Needling (up to 5 sessions).

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS ABOUT LIP FILLERS

IS A LIP FILLER SAFE?

For filling and remodulating lips, fillers with a certain acid* are used.

This acid is a biodegradable product, known under different brand names. It is 100% safe because it is completely biodegradable and anti-allergic.

DOES A LIP FILLER HURT?

Depending on the area and the patient, local anesthesia is provided in advance. The injection is done with an ultra-thin needle.

SHOULD I PREPARE FOR TREATMENT?

We are happy to explain how you should prepare for the treatment. Please explicitly ask for this when making your appointment.

If you have ever had cold sores, you should take prior medication.

HOW LONG DOES A TREATMENT WITH A LIP FILLER TAKE?

It is a fast treatment that can be carried out during a consultation if booked in advance ("lunch time" treatment), without "down time" (you can immediately resume your normal activities).

WHAT IS THE RESULT OF A LIP FILLER?

During treatment, you can look in the mirror and indicate whether the injected volume meets up to your expectation. Before and after photos will be taken.

HOW LONG DOES THE RESULT OF A FILLER LAST?

The effect of a lip augmentation with acid filler** usually lasts, depending on which product is used, a few (4 to 12) months. After this, the treatment can be repeated.
