GENERAL ANAESTHESIA OR LOCAL ANAESTHESIA?
There are different types of anesthesia and usually several techniques are combined.
1. DIFFERENCE LOCAL ANESTHESIA AND GENERAL ANESTHESIA
- With general anesthesia, the entire body is anesthetized by the anesthesiologist and you are temporarily completely unconscious. During general anaesthesia, also local anaesthesia is administered.
- Local or regional anaesthesia anesthetises only one part of the body or region, while you remain conscious. Usually this is combined with sedation: this is sedative medication so that you completely relax, become calm or even sleep during the procedure.
2. WHAT TREATMENTS ARE DONE IN GLOBAL CARE CLINIC UNDER GENERAL ANESTHESIA OR UNDER LOCAL ANESTHESIA?
- Operations under general anesthesia: breast augmentation, breast lift, breast reduction, tummy tuck, rhinoplasty, eyelid correction with eyebrow lift,...
- Operations under local anesthesia + sedation: eyelid correction, labia correction, ear correction, liposuction, phenol peeling,... Here too you can opt for general anesthesia (additional cost).
Good to know is that both types of surgery (local anesthesia and general anesthesia) are performed in our operating theatre.
