Plastic surgeon Dr. Nelissen applies the ultrasonic nasal sculpture technique.

This is an improved procedure to correct the nose with the Piezo device. This device is an advance on the conventional instruments such as grater, hammer,... It's a bit like an electronic toothbrush.

The technique of Piezo surgery has been known for more than 40 years in other medical fields such as oral surgery. This technique was further developed for rhinoplasty by the Parisian plastic surgeon Dr Gerbault.

The accuracy and precision of this device allows the plastic surgeon to have much better control during the procedure.

The advantages of the ultrasonic rhinoplasty are:

Better visual control during surgery, as the entire nasal pyramid is visible.
Better control over the position of the fracture and avoid unnecessary fractures.
The bone is sculpted, as it were, which is less successful with conventional instruments.
It can also be applied to thin bone structure (occurs in some women) or for brittle bones (from 40-45 years)
Asymmetry of the nose can be corrected more easily.
Finally, patients are much less marked after surgery, have far fewer bruises, and can therefore resume their normal social activities much faster.
